This policy explains what information is collected when you visit somaandsoiltherapy.com and what happens to it.

If you are a client of Soma & Soil Therapy, the privacy of your health information and clinical records is covered separately by my Notice of Privacy Practices, which you receive at your first appointment and can also find on this site. This page is only about the website.

What I collect

Nothing you type. This site has no contact form, no newsletter signup, and no client portal. There is nowhere on this website to enter your name, email address, or any other personal information.

Basic visit data. Like nearly every website, this one records standard technical information automatically through Squarespace, the platform that hosts it: your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you view, how long you stay, and the site you arrived from. This is aggregated and used to understand which pages people find useful. It is not used to identify you individually, and I do not attempt to connect it to any person.

Cookies. Squarespace places small files called cookies on your browser to keep the site working properly and to record the visit data described above. You can decline non-essential cookies using the banner when you arrive, and you can clear or block cookies at any time through your browser settings.

No advertising trackers. This site does not use Meta Pixel, Google Ads tags, or any other advertising or retargeting tracker. Your visit here is not shared with advertisers and is not used to target ads to you.

Booking a consultation

The "book a consultation" link on this site takes you to Sessions Health, the secure electronic health record system used by my practice. Anything you enter there is collected by Sessions Health, not by this website, and is handled under my practice's Notice of Privacy Practices and Sessions Health's own privacy policy.

Requesting a consultation does not make you a client. A therapist-client relationship begins only after we have met, completed intake, and signed a written agreement for services.

Who sees this information

Only the service providers that make this site work — Squarespace as the host and domain provider — and only as needed to operate the site. Information collected through this website is never sold, rented, traded, or shared for marketing.

I may disclose information if required by law, such as in response to a valid subpoena or court order.

Your choices

You can browse this site without providing any information about yourself. You can decline non-essential cookies, use private browsing, or use a browser that blocks tracking.

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal data collected about you, and to appeal if a request is denied.

Links to other sites

This site may link to outside resources, books, or organizations. Those sites have their own privacy practices, and I have no control over how they handle your information.

Children

This website is intended for adults and is not directed to children under 18. I do not knowingly collect information from children.

Changes

This policy may be updated as the site changes. The date at the top will change when it does.
