Frequently Asked Questions

I offer individual therapy, group therapy and Walk and Talk Therapy in Austin, TX. I offer virtual therapy throughout Texas.

I believe that working with the body is the way we create deep, lasting change. Traditional therapy is often focused on your thoughts, understanding your patterns, talking through what happened. While we can do those things together, we will spend more time getting to know and understand your nervous system and the language your body speaks in. Your body is where your intuition and deep knowing comes from, and when you are truly present in your body you are better able to connect with yourself, others and the world.

I think that my clients would say that I am welcoming, compassionate, and open to hearing what feels right to you. I bring my whole self to my work and believe that trust and safety are crucial to a good therapeutic relationship. I also love when we can laugh in session, it doesn’t have to be heavy all the time. Tapping into joy is like a salve to trauma and is an important part of the healing journey.

We start with a free 15 minute consultation to see if we are a fit. If we both feel that working together makes sense we will move forward with sessions from there.
-
The first session is mostly about getting oriented to each other and to discuss what's bringing you in. There's no pressure to have it all figured out before we start. We'll talk through your history, what you're hoping changes, and most importantly we will move at a pace that feels right for your nervous system.

Sessions are $150, private pay. I don't bill insurance directly, but I can provide a superbill so you can seek out-of-network reimbursement if your plan offers it.
I accept payment via my therapy portal.

Walk and talk therapy happens in person, outside, in a park in North central Austin, moving side by side instead of sitting across from each other. Currently individual sessions will be done via telehealth with the exception of Walk and Talk Therapy.
Both options will be therapeutic and we will cover the same topics and do the same somatic work. The real difference is the setting and whether you want to be walking while we do our sessions.
